GetOn Sportsweek 2014 - Play for a Smile

STICHTINGGETON02970 webOn 23 and 24 June 2014 the GetOn Foundation organized two sports days for the children from two day care centres in the informal settlement of Brazzaville and a primary school in township Atteridgeville, near Pretoria, South Africa.

More than 100 children in the ages between 4​ and 14 years old enjoyed sports, games, dance, singing and a delicious lunch. Tshwane police, fire brigade, ambulance and a GP also joined those days to show the children in a playful manner how to handle the dangers they can encounter daily on the township streets.These two sports days were made possible ​thanks to a donation by our partner United Cubs who organizes sports events for children in developing countries to "Play for a Smile". watch the video

GetOn Graduation - November 2013

STICHTINGGETON02887 webOn Friday 22 November 2013 more than 200 GetOn students received their GetOn certificates during a wonderful ceremony with several guest speakers.

The coming year GetOn will keep following these students on their path to success.

Growing Tomorrow sets GetOn as good example

"Growing Tomorrow" a programme that is shown every weekday on SABC2 focuses on the development of the rural areas in South Africa. Therefore in 2006 the Dutch GetOn Foundation came up with an ambitious plan to offer practical skills training and help ambitious people from Atteridgeville, a township near Pretoria West, to find paid work or start-up their own businesses. watch the video
